Erik ten Hag called his former player to push him for Manchester United transfer this summer

Manchester United continue their searches for a new goalkeeper, with Andre Onana emerging as an option to replace David de Gea at the club.

According to La Gazetta dello Sport (via Express), Erik Ten Hag, who had previously worked with the Inter Milan goalkeeper for five years in the Netherlands, recently had a phone call with him in order to push for a potential move to Old Trafford.

The report claims the Red Devils are considering making an offer of approximately €40 million, while the Seria A side are said to be seeking a higher fee, preferably at least €10 million more.

The clubs are currently facing a gap in their valuations, but United remain eager to secure the services of the goalkeeper.
