Liverpool confirmed the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
Szoboszlai becomes the Reds second signing of the season and he will wear number 8.
On the choice of squad number, the 22-year-old said: “I will be number 8 as I’ve a tattoo from Steven Gerrard. That was a reason why. He was one of the biggest when I was a child.

Szoboszlai signed a five-year contract with the Reds that will keep him at the club until 2028.
