Dimitar Berbatov has given a boost to Arsenal's rumored pursuit of Karim Benzema with his latest comments.
Benzema, among the highest-paid footballers globally, has been competing in Saudi Arabia. However, there's a growing trend of players regretting opting for less prominent leagues for financial reasons. Jordan Henderson recently departed and will complete the season at Ajax.
Recent reports have connected Arsenal to a possible January loan deal for Benzema, and according to Berbatov, the attacker might consider a similar move, potentially spending six months on loan at a European club, with Gunners emerging as a potential destination.
Although such a transfer could pose challenges, Berbatov suggests that Benzema might have the inclination to join Arsenal if the opportunity arises.
“Benzema would like playing for Arsenal because of their style of play. He has an interesting choice to make but right now he’d probably choose to move to a London club," the former Manchester United said, via The Sun.
