The Spanish playmaker is nearing the end of a decade in English football, with his contract up at the Etihad this summer when he is expected to move on.
Silva recalled the toughest game he has played in during his City career. Still, in with a chance of winning an unprecedented quadruple as March 2014 came, the Blues suffered a shock FA Cup defeat at home to Wigan before defeating to Barcelona four days later.
They headed to Hull in the Premier League four days after that while sitting in fourth place in the table. As the team looked for inspiration, up stepped Silva with a goal and terrific all-round performance to claim a 2-0 win.
"There have been a lot of tough games, but to pick one — I think it was one against Hull City away in the 2013-2014 season," he said. "They sent off Kompany I think, and we really needed to win the game to win the league, so we did it, but it was tough to do that with ten men."
