Chelsea's captain Reece James is on track to recover from his injury before the next Premier League game, marking a positive development, recent reports suggest.
At the start of the season, concerns arose when news circulated that James had suffered another muscle injury. Many had hoped that such issues would be a thing of the past for him this season, especially after he was entrusted with the role of club captain.
However, the captaincy has since been handed over to vice-captain Ben Chilwell, and both players have garnered favor under the new manager, Mauricio Pochettino. Pochettino has even lauded James as a "perfect" player and has shown considerable confidence in him.
This potentially sets the stage for a significant boost for James, as he could return to first-team action for Sunday's Premier League match against Bournemouth. Football London has indicated that the 23-year-old is expected to be fully fit once the current international break concludes.
James is among several players who are nearing a return after injury setbacks at the beginning of the season. Benoit Badiashile and Armando Broja are also poised to make their comebacks, having not yet featured this season. Particularly, the Frenchman will be eager to secure a place in the starting lineup, facing competition from players like Levi Colwill for immediate playing time.
