Chelsea have reportedly contacted Moises Caicedo, their primary target for this summer transfer window.
During the January transfer window, the Blues made attempts to acquire the talented Ecuadorian star but were unwilling to meet the Seagulls' valuation of £100 million for the 21-year-old player. As a result, the proposed deal failed to materialize at that time.
Fast forward to June, Brighton are hoping for a £70m bid that will be accompanied with add-ons that can make up for their prized asset. Caicedo's big price tag is also due to his contractual obligations with Brighton until 2027. Both Chelsea and Arsenal have demonstrated enduring interest in securing the young midfielder's services, with the Gunners also actively pursuing his signature during the upcoming summer transfer window.
At just 21 years of age, the skilled Ecuadorian is widely regarded as one of the Premier League's finest midfielders. Considering his current rate of development, it is indeed daunting to contemplate the immense potential that the Ecuadorian could achieve in his prime years.
