Chelsea are keen to extend young talent Levi Colwill's stay at the club at all costs.
Several days ago, it became known that the London Blues have ruled out the possibility of a sale for Colwill. The 20-year-old has been on loan to Brighton, where he still enjoys the admiration of head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
In their pursuit of the Seagull's Moises Caicedo, Chelsea have been warned that a deal will be possible if they get Colwill in return. Accordingly, Pochetitno's side saw several attempts to sign the Ecuadorian star fail.
While highlighting that the player is not for sale, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino expressed his admiration for Colwill by stating that he is set to become “one of the greatest centre backs in England”.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues are getting closer to secure the starlet's services. Multiple other sources report, that Colwill and Chelsea have agreed on a six-year deal.
