Bruno Fernandes sends warning to Manchester City ahead of FA Cup final

Bruno Fernandes has sent a warning to Manchester City, claiming that Manchester United will be fully prepared to shatter their hopes of achieving a treble this weekend.

This will be the first time the Manchester derby takes place in the FA Cup final, and although Erik ten Hag's primary focus is securing another trophy for United, triumphing in the final would also put an end to City's aspirations of a treble.

Pep Guardiola's team has already clinched the Premier League title and made it to the Champions League final, leaving them just two games away from emulating the historic treble achieved by Sir Alex Ferguson's United in 1998/99.

Fernandes, who has served as captain for the majority of the season, is expected to be in the starting lineup at Wembley on Saturday.

In his interview for the FA Cup final programme, he expressed that winning the trophy would hold significant meaning for him and the team.

"It would mean a lot [to win] of course. At this club we always have to be reaching finals and trying to win trophies. We know that is the minimum at a club like this and for us as players. Everyone knows the FA Cup, how important it is in this country and in football," he said, via Manchester Evening News

"It will be a special day and playing against Manchester City is always a big game. We all know the rivalry, we know what it means to us and what it means to our fans. We want to win every game that we play for this club because that is what it deserves," Fernandes added.
