Brendan Rodgers provides Leicester City injury update ahead of Manchester City clash

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that none of his players picked up injuries in the midweek n the midweek Carabao Cup win over Everton and they are ready to face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. In his Friday's press conference the Foxes boss said: “Everyone is fit and fine and ready. We have a clean bill of health. Time will tell (if Man City resting more players will have an impact). They were pretty strong as well.

"We were strong. We want to win every single game. I have a squad where I can put out a team and whatever team it is I believe they can win the game. I did that in the week and now we’ll pick a team that can hopefully get a result on Saturday.”

Rodgers also provided an update on midfielder Matty James, who continues his rehabilitation from a summer Achilles operation.
“He’s (James) in training with the squad every day, so he’s making excellent progress", said Rodgers.
“He's not quite at the stage yet where we can think about games.  Because he's been out for so long, it’s just day by day getting the enjoyment back, getting consistency in training. Over the next number of months, it will step up."
