Arsenal have been given reason to be concerned following an apparent injury to Gabriel Magalhaes during his Brazil debut.
The defender started in Brazil's 5-1 victory over Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier on September 9 but had to be substituted in the 84th minute, with Roger Ibanez of Al-Ahli coming on as his replacement. The Gunner was later spotted with an ice pack on his thigh, raising hopes at Arsenal that it was merely a precautionary measure.
Whether he will be fit to play in Brazil's upcoming match against Peru is also uncertain. Despite speculation linking him with a move away from Arsenal over the summer, Gabriel is still part of Mikel Arteta's plans, and he returned to the starting lineup for the victory against Manchester United.
Since joining Arsenal from Lille in 2020, the 25-year-old defender has made a total of 122 appearances for the club.
