Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has praised Tottenham's recent signing Brennan Johnson, describing him as an "unbelievable talent."
Johnson secured a £47.5 million transfer to Tottenham on the deadline day, following his impressive development at Nottingham Forest. The 22-year-old had a successful debut season in the Premier League, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.
Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou had identified Johnson as a top attacking target in the final days of the transfer window. Additionally, Wales are counting on Johnson to contribute goals in the future.
Ramsey, who is Johnson's international teammate, believes that Wales has a fantastic talent in their midst.
In an interview with Sky Sports News before their Euros Qualifier match against Latvia, Ramsey was asked if Johnson could step up and fill the goal-scoring void left by Gareth Bale's retirement.
“He’s an unbelievable talent and has shown over the last year or so at Forest what he’s capable of doing,” the former Arsenal man said, via TBR Football.
“Hopefully he can take another step going forward and for Wales, he can be a main part of that for many years to come. He has so much ability and it’s about linking up and getting that front three really firing, playing together and giving each other opportunities.”
