Paul Merson has backed Chelsea's Kai Havertz and Cristian Pulisic to cause Liverpool's Joel Matip problems during the EFL Cup final.
The two sides are set to face each other on Sunday to decide the winner of the tournament.
Ahead of the clash, Merson has claimed that Romelu Lukaku wouldn't star against the Reds, while both Haverz and Pulisic could have a "nice day".
“No, I wouldn’t (start Lukaku),” Merson
told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports. .
“Havertz will always play for me. I think he gets into nice little pockets.
“If you play Lukaku up against Virgil van Dijk, I don’t see there being a lot of change, with Havertz he causes them a problem.
“With him dropping in, and hopefully Pulisic is fit, then he can have a lot of joy against Matip down that side if Havertz can get on the half-turn and play.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold is going. He’s bombing forward. If you can get the ball out there to Pulisic on one v one situations against Matip, then I think they could have a nice day at Wembley.”
