Emery must be given "two or three transfer windows", says Campbell

Former Arsenal midfielder Sol Campbell has admitted, Unai Emery is doing a good job at Arsenal, however, he must be given two or three transfer windows to build his own team. “I think [Unai Emery] has done a really good job so far”, he said. “Like me, he’s come into a side and inherited all the players and that’s tough because they’re really top heavy now. “There’s not much room in the coffer to get new players in and you might have to move players on to get players in – and I know myself, it’s hard. “You have that tussle, that tug of war and then you have to get a team together to play football, challenge and be competitive. So he’s got that to deal with. “It’s probably going to take two three transfer windows before he gets a team that’s him.” Campbell insisted Emery must inspire Arsenal players to perform well even if it isn’t his desired squad. He said: “He’s got to inspire the players, even though they’re probably not the players he would like. But that’s football and you have get on with it. “He’s done a really good job, he’s stable, they’ve won games. They’re not where they could be but under all the pressure he’s done really well.”

Arsenal will have just £45million to spend in the summer. Why the ninth-richest club have so poor funds?
