Elina Svitolina, Serena Williams, Johanna Konta and Wang Qiang are in the quarter-final of US Open

No.5 seed Elina Svitolina broke through to her first-ever US Open quarterfinal with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over No.10 seed and 2017 US Open runner-up Madison Keys of the United States. Serena Williams reached the quarter-finals in New York with a 6-3 6-4 victory against the 22nd seed. Johanna Konta beat Karolina Pliskova 6-7 (1), 6-3, 7-5. Playing in the second week of a major for the first time, No.18 seed Wang Qiang stunned No.2 seed Ashleigh Barty 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 22 minutes to move into her maiden Grand Slam quarterfinal at the US Open 2019. In the quarter-finals, Svitolina will face Konta, while Williams will play against Wang.
