Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he had been speaking with Tyson Fury lately, and somewhat suggested the former heavyweight champion might be having issues with promoter Frank Warren.
Speaking during the aftermath of the contest between Whyte and Chisora, Hearn said: “Yeah he [Fury] text me a few times, we’ve spoken a few times,” according to
The Metro.
“Look, Joshua wants to be undisputed and if he can’t get that then he looks at Fury and Dillian. But these guys aren’t lapdogs. They’re not going to turn around and say, ‘Yep, alright, just tell me what the deal is and I’ll be there,’ continued Hearn about the probable future opponents of AJ in 2019.
“So these guys, they’re not just a voluntary pick where they’re over the moon to get a shot. They’re in position. So whether it’s Dillian, whether it’s Fury, whether it’s Jarrell Miller, whether it’s Wilder.”
