Ed Woodward believes in long-term success under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has stated that he believes in the success of rebuilding the squad under head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils currently sit 38 points runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool and are in a battle to secure a top four finish after missing out on Champions League football last term. United's rebuild over the playing squad by Solskjaer continued in January with Bruno Fernandes a big-money arrival at Old Trafford with Ashley Young becoming the latest name to move on. And Woodward believes the club are on the right way with more work to be done. In a statement released ahead of Tuesday’s conference call with investors, Woodward said: "We are pushing for a strong finish in the Premier League, the Europa League and the FA Cup as we enter the final third of the season. "We have continued to make progress on our squad rebuild, with many changes in terms of players that we have brought in and players that have come through our academy; the foundation for delivering the long-term success that we are all working towards is in place as we implement our plan and our footballing vision with Ole."
