Draymond Green has claimed that he and his Golden State Warriors teammates — Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson changed the game of basketball.
Warriors star has recently appeared on the “
All the Smoke” podcast, where Green noted that he and Curry were a “match made in heaven."
“I think I changed the game of basketball with the help of Steph Curry,” Green said.
“I think Steph Curry changed the game of basketball with the help of me. I think it was a match made in heaven.
"And then Klay Thompson comes into his own and becomes one of the top-2 shooters in the world… us three changed the game of basketball forever.”
With Curry and Thompson's long-distance threes and Green’s defensive skills on the boards, the Warriors made four consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
However, this season Warriors have struggled to succeed, as their league-worst 15-50 overall record suggests. Injuries have played a role, including those to Stephen Curry (hand) and Klay Thompson (ACL).
