Dele Alli and Pochettino reveal how Son Heung-Min reacted to Andre Gomes' horror injury

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has told Sky Sports that Son Heung-Min 'can't even pick his head up' after his tackle on Andre Gomes which lead to a horror injury. The Everton midfielder suffered a suspected broken ankle after being tripped. Son was sent off and left the pitch in tears. Speaking to Sky Sports Alli said: "It's not nice. I didn't want to look too much at what happened. We just have to send him our best wishes, he's an amazing footballer and you hate to see that happen. We've just been into the dressing room now and he's (Son) devastated, he's in tears. It's not his fault, Son is one of the nicest people in football, he'd never mean to do something like that and if you saw his reaction you'd know that. He can't even pick his head up, he's crying so much. It's not something you want to see happen to anyone so all the best to him." Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino added: "I think Son is devastated because of the consequences. I want to send my best wishes to Gomes. What’s important now is that he recovers well. We are all devastated but of course for Everton it is devastating. It’s not important if it was yellow or red. The decision from the referee was yellow but then I think VAR changed it. For me of course it’s unfair. He landed in a bad situation." Source- Football.london
