David Ornstein provides update on Michail Antonio new contract situation after Chelsea win

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has provided an update on Michail Antonio's contract situation at West Ham. The attacker's current deal with the Hammers is set to expire in the summer of 2023. However, the club are understood to possibly use the option of extending his deal by a further year until the summer of 2024 instead of signing a new one. It means West Ham are in control of the situation for the next two and a half years, reports Roshane Thomas. It is also likely that the club will review Antonio's contract next summer, giving him a pay rise. The 31-year-old has established himself as one of the key players at the team. His recent contribution was at the weekend as he helped David Moyes' side to celebrate a 3 - 2 win over Chelsea. Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
