David Moyes has revealed what he told Jesse Lingard after West Ham 2 - 1 defeat to Manchester United. The England international, who has spent the second half of the last season with the Hammers, netted the winning goal for the Red Devils on Sunday. Speaking about Lingard after the match, Moyes has opened up on the player's Champions League mistake in the midweek and how the attacker managed to overcome the criticism to bounce back. "I was laughing but more importantly, I said how well he recovered from his mistake in midweek; he makes a mistake which probably cost Manchester United a first win in the Champions League. But that's what football does you always get a second chance in football to bounce back," the manager said (via Football London). "Jesse got a second chance to bounce back as a player when he was at West Ham last year so we'll always be grateful, for what he did for us.
