Darren Bent praises Arsenal player despite Everton loss

Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat to Everton in an away Premier League game on Monday. The Gunners opened the scoring towards the end of the first-half, however, they conceded two goals in the second half as Richarlison and Demarai Gray scored for Everton. Martin Odegaard scored the only goal for the Gunners as Kieran Tierney provided the assist. Following the game, Darren Bent praised Tierney despite Mikel Arteta's side suffering a defeat. Tierney made his first appearance since October as he suffered an injury. He made his return for the Gunners in November, however, he was benched for several games. The defender started from the first minutes, however, was replaced at the 65th minute. “Tierney was fantastic last night,” he told talkSPORT. “The balls he was putting in the box, the energy, he was working hard. “I can understand maybe managing his minutes, I get that. But at some stage, you’ve got to take the leash off and say, ‘just go.’”
