Daniel Ricciardo speaks out on Kimi Raikkonen’s decision to stay in Formula 1
Daniel Ricciardo accepts he is surprised with the decision of Kimi Raikkonen to stay in Formula 1.
38-year-old Raikkonen has left Ferrari, the latest replacing him with Charles Leclerc from Sauber. However, Raikkonen has decided to join Sauber and race for Swiss team.
“A little bit [surprised],” Ricciardo says (via Express)
“I suspected Ferrari would make the change they’ve made, but I thought if Kimi left then he was leaving, riding dirt bikes and spending time with his kids.
“I’m surprised he’s committed to a two-year deal as well. His body language doesn’t always show he enjoys the sport but obviously he likes it more than we think he does.” he added.
