Cristian Romero has made an admission that Tottenham fans will love ahead of the crucial Manchester United Premier League clash this weekend.
The 23-year-old signed on a six-year deal from Serie A outfit Atalanta in the summer as Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld's replacement as new director Fabio Paratici had the daunting task of replacing the duo.
Speaking ahead of the Saturday Night Football in an Italian TV interview via
CalcioNews24, Romero said when reflecting on his early stay so far with the north Londoners:
“Now I feel at home. Each change requires a certain period of adaptation, but now I’m fine and I hope to be able to continue playing at these levels. I have to thank Giovani Lo Celso. He helped me in this period of adaptation.
“I like having him as a teammate, both in the club and in the national team. He is a great friend, but he did not influence my decision. I chose to come to Tottenham because it’s a great club that plays in the best league in the world”.
Next up for the Argentinian is the challenge posed by United's Cristiano Ronaldo- certainly a big step up from having to deal with Chris Wood in Tottenham's most recent challenge vs Burnley.
