Red Bull Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund has stated that Hwang Hee-chan will not be leaving the club this month amid Wolverhampton Wanderers' interest.
South Korean striker is on Wolves' radar and sporting director Kevin Thelwell flew to Austria last month to watch him in action.
However, Salzburg aren't interested in selling Hwang this January after allowing his attacking colleagues Erling Haaland and Takumi Minamino to join Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool respectively.
Speaking to Austrian newspaper
Salzburger Nachrichten Christoph Freund said:
"Hwang is not for sale in this transfer period.
"We won't let him go for €40m (£34m) either. We won't be negotiating with any club."
Hwang has been very impressive this term with 9 goals in 20 appearances for Salzburg, including three in the Champions League group stages.
