Chelsea transfer chief Granovskaia holds Timo Werner advantage over Liverpool and Manchester United

Chelsea will consider an approach for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner. The Germany international has been in impressive form this season having scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists in 39 appearances. The Blues are in the market to sign a new centre-forward. Chelsea have their sights on RB Leipzig's Werner, 24. The Manchester United and Liverpool target has a £49million release clause in his contract and would represent a cheaper option for Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia. Neither of the Premier League heavyweights have submitted an offer for Werner and Chelsea believe they have an advantage over the champions-elect and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. ESPN FC suggests that the Blues think they could lure Werner to Stamford Bridge with the promise of regular first-team football. Source: Express
