Chelsea could suffer transfer blow

AS Roma are preparing to hand Kostas Manolas a new contract amid interest from Chelsea. The 27-year-old Manolas has been with Roma for the last four years and made more than 180 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions. Juventus and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the Greece international. Manolas’ current contract includes a release clause of £31.5m, and it is understood that a number of clubs are lining up January bids.
