Chelsea reportedly made a move for another star goalkeeper before signing Kepa Arrizabalaga on deadline day. According to the Sunday Times, the Blues had prioritised the signing of Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak to replace Thibaut Courtois. Chelsea was willing to pay  £89.4 million to buy out his contract, however Oblak rejected the chance to move to Premier League.
