Chelsea player Danny Drinkwater wanted by Premier League club on season-long loan

Brighton have launched a bid for Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater. Graham Potter wants the Blues man on a season-long loan deal to power up his engine room. Chelsea would prefer to sell the 29-year-old. Drinkwater has made just five Premier League starts in two years at Stamford Bridge after joining in a  £35m deal from Leicester. The 29-year-old was left out of Chelsea's squad for their final pre-season friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach along with Tiemoue Bakayoko. Despite the transfer ban, the Blues would like to sell the duo.
