Chelsea's forgotten man, Marco van Ginkel, has signed a one-year extension at the club. The 27-year-old has spent most of his Blues career on loan or injured. He will get another season at least to prove his worth for Frank Lampard's side.
Chelsea are preparing a sensational transfer swoop for David Alaba, according to The Athletic. Frank Lampard is determined to sign a new left-back this summer and has reportedly turned his attention to Alaba after being priced out of a move for Ben Chilwell. Bild claim that Chelsea striker Timo Werner will earn nearer £270,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge. His base salary will be around £14million a year, which is a significant increase in the reported £10million. He will also receive a £9.9million signing on bonus.
Arsenal were poised to give Chelsea's Willian a £250,000-a-week deal before the coronavirus pandemic put a strain on finances, according to The Mirror.
Valencia are looking to lure Kepa Arrizabalaga away from Chelsea on a two-year loan deal, claims Marca. The Spain international has seen his future at Stamford Bridge called into question, which could open the door for him to head home. Source: Goal, Evening Standard
