Chelsea are planning to make a fresh bid for West Ham player Declan Rice in the January transfer window, according to reports. Rice is believed to be one of Lampard’s only remaining targets after the summer transfer window.
The Blues welcomed a number of players during the summer transfer window including two German star Timo Werner and Kai Havertz as well as Hakim Ziyech and others.

The Athletic the Blues were ready to sell two players in order to fund a bid for Rice during the summer transfer window, but both moves fell through. Frank Lampard's side are likely to offload some players in January if they are to make a second run at trying to sign the West Ham star.
However, the Hammers want to keep the 21-year-old and are reportedly ready to give him a new contract with a significantly higher wage in order to convince him into turning down the Blues.
