Chelsea could secure the perfect Erling Haaland alternative- Alexander Isak in the next transfer window, according to
Football.London.
Isak came through the academy of AIK in Sweden, and like Haaland, then joined Dortmund at a young age. Unfortunately, his move to the Bundesliga was not successful, and after a spell on loan with Willem II in Holland, he transferred to Real Sociedad in 2019.
He had managed 14 goals in all competitions for Sociedad this season before coronavirus halted football across Europe. And he is rated at 78 by FootballCritic, which makes him an ‘accomplished-level’ player.
He has managed 1,054 minutes on the pitch this season, and scored seven times, with five of his goals being decisive ones, according to Football Critic.
Isak would be a much more cost-effective option for Lampard than Haaland. Although there are elements of his game that require refining. He is only averaging 0.4 dribbles this season, compared to Haaland’s 0.9.
