Callum McGregor outlines Neil Lennon’s ‘relentless pursuit of perfection’

Celtic star Callum McGregor says, their manager Neil Lennon succeed at the club after he replaced Brendan Rogers. Rodgers left the club for Leicester City after three trophies, just three defeats in 45 games in all competitions and Europa League knockout stages guaranteed later. McGregor says Lennon was crucial to Celtic keeping Rangers at bay after they beat their biggest rivals in the Scottish League Cup, for the 10th time in a row. The player revealed it’s Lennon’s relentless pursuit of perfection every single day at Lennoxtown that drives the squad to get the job done. The playmaker said: “His standards are super high every single day. He comes out to training and, if one or two are off, he stops it. He just tells us we’re off it, makes us get back on it. That’s the way we work. “We don’t have an off day. We don’t have an easy day. Every day we’re trying to get better. And he is the man who steps in and makes that happen. Straight away, he gets everyone back on it. Those are the standards he drives every day, along with Broony and certain other ones. That showed in our willingness to win against Rangers.”  Source- Daily Record
