BREAKING: Manchester City complete surprise deadline-day signing

Manchester City have completed a £5.3million deal for teenage Hadjuk Split midfielder Ante Palaversa. The 18-year-old player underwent a medical in Manchester and has now been confirmed as a City player. Palaversa has made just 17 senior appearances for his club, but has impressed in a team that had a difficult start to the season. Palaversa said: "I would like to thank Manchester City for the trust they have shown in me. "There is still a lot of work ahead of me. I have not yet shown all I can and I haope to justify the great trust I have received from the English champions."
