BREAKING: Alexandre Lacazette suspension in Europa League cut by UEFA
UEFA have partially upheld Arsenal appeal for Alexandre Lacazette suspension. France international, who got red card during Round of 32 first leg against BATE Borisov, has been supposed to miss 3 matches. However, UEFA have cut the suspension to 2 matches, which means Lacazette could play against Rennes at Emirates.Official statement says (via Evening Standard): “The appeal lodged by Arsenal FC has been partially upheld.To suspend the Arsenal FC player Alexandre Lacazette for two (2) Uefa competition matches for which he would be otherwise eligible for serious rough play.”Unai Emery’s side lost the first match in France 3-1 and are now having a big challenge ahead of the second leg.
