Bayern Munich boss makes worrying Philippe Coutinho claim after first training session

Bayern Munich coach Niko Kovac says Philippe Coutinho isn't in great shape after his first training session with his new club. Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool in a £148million move in January 2018 but failed to live up the expectations and signed a season-long deal with Bayern Munich on Monday. Before his move to Bundesliga, the Brazilian had been linked with Liverpool. However, Liverpool quickly decided that they didn’t want to re-sign him. "He still hasn't got the fitness he needs, he said so today and that is our impression too," said Kovac. "We will not burn him up even though some people want us too."
