Barcelona are set to sack their head coach Ernesto Valverde after humiliating elimination from Liverpool in the semi finals of the Champions League.
The Catalan side beat the Reds 3-0 at Camp Nou, however in the second leg they lost 4-0 and were eliminated. The same thing has happened also last year, during the quarter finals, when Barcelona won 4-1 over Roma, but lost 3-0 in the second leg.
According to RAC1, Valverde will be sacked today. It has been revealed that the La Liga side has made a four man shortlist of the managers who will replace the Spaniard.
The shortlist includes Belgium national team coach Roberto Martinez, Netherlands national team coach Ronald Koeman, as well as Juventus coach Max Allegri, who will be leaving the club in summer, and Arsenal coach Unai Emery. (per
