The Monaco midfielder has passed his medical on Thursday and was expected to sign a contract on Friday, however several difficulties have stalled the move.
Bakayoko has been seen chatting with Blues manager Antonio Conte. It looks like the deal is closing to a successful end however with Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev asking for a higher fee at the last minute and Bakayoko having signed several mandates with mulitple agents or intermediaries, adds additional time for the completion of the transfer.
According to Goal.com, all the paperwork will be done and dusted on Saturday.
The Frenchman himself admitted on Twitter of missing Monaco, adding suspicion to the situation.
