Aymeric Laporte responds to Manchester City's Champions League ban

Aymeric Laporte has opened up on Manchester City's Champions League ban. Premier League champions have been given a two-year Champions League ban and fined 30m euros (£25m) by UEFA. City are taking their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in a bid to get the decision overturned. Speaking after Manchester City's 2-0 victory over West Ham on Wednesday, Laporte said: “We are professionals, a big team with big personalities in the dressing room, and I think we just think about football, nothing else. We are professionals and have to do our job. That’s all.” “We don’t need more motivation for anything," Laporte replied, when asked whether the ban will motivate the squad for the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu next week. “Every game is tough and we have to be focused. The Champions League is important for us and we want the best campaign we can do.” source - Goal
