Arsene Wenger denies retirement from football

Former Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has denied his retirement from football and claimed that he is unsure about a return to management. The Frenchman guided Arsenal for 22 years and decided to leave the Gunners as they failed to qualify for the Champions League for the second season in succession. In summer he was linked with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain but he joined neither of the clubs. Wenger told L'Est Republicain: "To be honest, for the moment, I have not really thought about that because I fixed myself something whereby in the first few months I would not take any decisions. "So I have not been too worried about that. It is not even going through my head. He added: "No, I am not retired. “If I was I would have been for a long time. I will be 69 in October." Asked if he would take another managerial role, Wenger replied: "I don’t know, I don’t know." Wenger led the Gunners to three Premier League titles, seven FA Cup wins and a Champions League final in 2006.
