Arsenal star Mesut Ozil asked Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey’s president, to be guest of honour at his wedding party; however, he does not want to see German players at his wedding ceremony.
Ozil, who resigned from the German national team last year claiming he was a victim of racism after coming under fire over his public support for Mr Erdogan, has taken care оf his wedding date to be sure, that his Germany teammates will not be able to attend his party.
According to Bild, Amine Gulse, Miss Turkey and Ozil will celebrate their wedding in Istanbul on June 7th, while important match Belarus-Germany will take place on June 8, therefore Ozil’s teammates in the German national team will not be able to participate in the party.
Ozil has dated Gulse since 2017 and the couple announced their engagement in June 2018.
