Manchester City are preparing to host Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday, August 28. Ahead of the game, it was revealed that Kevin De Bruyne will miss City's clash against the Gunners due to an ankle injury.
De Bruyne missed City's 5-0 win over Norwich City last weekend.
Ahead of the game, Belgium national team coach Roberto Martinez provided an update on the midfielder.
‘Kevin is not available,’ said Martinez. ‘As you know he had some minutes against Tottenham.
‘But after that game he still felt some pain. He’s taking a different route now.
‘He’s not gonna be playing this weekend. The idea is to see how his injury progresses.
‘It’s only right that we work together for the well-being of the player.
‘Kevin is working really hard behind the scenes to get fully fit and to be ready for a demanding season. At the moment he’s not 100% fit.’
