Arsenal continued their excellent run, making it 10 wins on the spin with Mesut Ozil-inspired success.
Stephan Lichtsteiner was a right-back option for Monday’s 3-1 win over Leicester City despite being fourth option for the role.
Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac were both injured and Ainsley Maitland-Niles was still working his way back from a broken leg.
But questions remain over the left-back position for the long term.
According to
Calciomercato, Unai Emery is monitoring Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico for the role.
The Argentine international, 26, joined the Amsterdam club in January from Independiente in a £3.5million move and has impressed since.
Tagliafico, who has 10 caps for his country, has a contract until 2022 at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
