Arsenal make £36m bid for Brazil star as potential Wilfried Zaha transfer alternative

Arsenal have made a bid of £36m for Brazil star Everton Soares. Unai Emery is considering him as a transfer alternative for Wilfried Zaha. The Gunners edged closer to sign a deal with the 23-year-old winger who played an integral role in his country’s success at the Copa America this summer. However, they will face competition from Napoli for the Gremio forward. Reports in Brazil suggest Soares has started to learn English in readiness for a move to the Premier League. Last season Everton scored 15 goals in 31 appearances for his club.
