Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move for Sergi Roberto, as the 29-year-old eyes a free transfer out of Barcelona.
Roberto has been in talks with the Blaugrana over extending his current deal with them.
But the negotiations are not going forward and according to
The Sun, both Arsenal and Manchester City are now battling to sign him.
After the arrivals of Nuno Tavares and Takehiro Tomiyasu in the last transfer window, the Gunners appear to have finally sorted out their full-back problems.
But they are one injury crisis away from a setback and that makes having more players as alternatives ideal.
So Roberto's signing made be a solution, also considering his versatility.
