Arsenal earned a home point against Wolves yesterday, thanks to a late goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who was needed to cancel out Ivan Cavaleiro’s early strike. There seemed to be no danger when Arsenal had the ball inside their own half, only for Xhaka to inexplicably leave a pass in the centre of the pitch which was pounced upon by Ivan Cavaleiro, who slotted past Bernd Leno from close range to give Wolves the lead. It was a costly error from Xhaka, who was unsurprisingly hammered on social media for the mistake.
