Arsenal defender linked with shock move

Real Sociedad are looking to add to their squad before the transfer deadline with a couple of arrivals from Premier Leage. La Liga giants have made Nacho Monreal their first-choice target to become their new left-back. They are also focused on Newcastle United midfielder Mikel Merino. However, Monreal seems to have no intention of leaving the Gunners after the difficult season when he was the Gunners’ hope. Anyway, Sociedad will make an attempt as director of football Roberto Olabe is keen to lure him back to Spain. Monreal is out of contract at the end of the season and an offer from Sociedad may tempt Arsenal to cash in on the player.
