Arsenal's back-four Gabriel Magalhaes has started in all of the Gunners' 38 matches in the Premier League, having missed only 9 minutes throughout the whole competition.
Last summer, Juventus and several other clubs expressed interest in Magalhaes, but Arsenal's decision to keep faith in him has proven to be the right move, considering his exceptional season. It has been a transformative year for the Brazillian, who initially found himself overshadowed by the newly signed William Saliba but later emerged as arguably the standout performer in Arsenal's defensive line.
At the beginning of the season, there were even suggestions that Gabriel might not be included in the squad for the upcoming campaign. Nevertheless, he has expressed his happiness and commitment to the club, viewing Arsenal as his home. In his own words, the 25-year-old stated via Football London, "Every game, the supporters are pushing the team in the stadium. It's why I'm so happy to stay here. Arsenal is my home. In the future, I want to win games for Arsenal, I want to win trophies with Arsenal and stay here for a long time because it's my home."
Looking ahead to the new campaign, Gabriel is expected to play a vital role, although he now faces competition that was not present at the start of last season. In January, Arteta's side acquired Polish international Jakub Kiwior, who has already showcased his versatility by featuring in both center-back positions and left-back.
