Andy Muray makes bold claim about future, fans will be thrilled

Andy Murray has made admission that his game will be way better in 2022. The former world No. 1, who received a wild card into the Stockholm Open, lost to Tommy Paul in the quarterfinal with a score of 6-2 3-6 6-3.
"I didn’t hit the ball particularly well so I was on the back foot in most of the rallies," said Andy per Tennis Up To Date.   "I was just battling, the timing was off from the back of the court a little bit but that’s the first time since February where I played three consecutive days."
However, the 34-year-old doesn't think of retiring despite 2 major hip surgeries and struggling to play on the level he would like to.play.
“My game will improve, I think, over the off-season – I’m pretty clear on the things that I need to work on. I need to make sure we get a good plan in place that come the beginning of January those improvements have been made," Murray added.
Murray had a trial with coach Esteban Carril in Stockholm this week and we'll see if he will add former coach Johanna Konta to his team for the 2022 season.
"It’s another person with a fresh set of eyes and with a good reputation and good experience.   "That’s why I wanted to try it out and see how it goes,” Murray said earlier this week.   “These last few years have been tough for me and my team. I think having a little bit of space and distance is important”.
