Liverpool star Alisson has spoken out on Loris Karius.
German goalkeeper was main choice for Jurgen Klopp last season, but he made two devastating mistakes during Champions League final against Real Madrid, when he let Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale score goals.
Since then, Karius’s football career has changed. He left Liverpool since Alisson joined Reds from Roma. Karius, however, failed to impress in his new team, Besiktas, and will reportedly leave Turkish club.
Brazilian told
FourFourTwo: “Even when my team scores after a big mistake from the opposition keeper, it’s a different feeling for me. I don’t celebrate it like any other goal.
“I know what goes through the mind of a goalkeeper in those kind of moments. I was so sad to see what happened to Karius – it could have happened to anyone.”
Liverpool got knocked out from FA Cup yesterday, when they lost to Wolverhampton.
Reds are leading in EPL with 4 point advantage over Manchester City. Alisson is currently the best goalkeeper in the league with 12 clean sheets.
