Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on Alexis Sanchez injury he sustained while representing his country at Copa Ameriica.
The 30-year-old was already due to have a three-week break after his international commitments - and Solskjaer is confident the injury will not extend that period.
“I don't think Alexis's injury was too bad,” Solskjaer said in a press conference in Perth, where United have started their pre-season tour of Australia.
“When he's due back is three weeks after his last game, so that will be just after we come back from tour. I would expect him to be fit enough to play straightaway and train straightaway.”
United have a friendly against Kristiansund in Oslo on Tuesday 30 July and a clash in Cardiff with AC Milan on Saturday 3 August, before our Premier League campaign starts with the home match against Chelsea on 11 August.
